Lane Cove National Park, Sydney
Yes we are still in Sydney, in the suburb Ryde, in Lane Cove National Park. a very nice park, half an hour with public transport outside the hart of the city.
Unfortunatly we are forced to stay a little longer, because Pam is in hospital with gallbladder problems. She is doing OK, but next Wednesday or Thursday her gallbladder will be removed. Not sure yet how much recoverytime this will take.
In the meantime I keep myself busy as good as I can. It's a little boring but the weather is fine (cool at night !).

The three sisters
The three sisters are a famous rock formation in The Blue Mountains, 100 km West of Sydney, near Katoomba, towering above the Jamison valley.
Their names are Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnadoo. One of Australia's beautiful views, and I was there.
We had a perfect day in the Blue Mountains.

Taronga Zoo, Sydney
Definitly a zoo with a view ! A redtail black cockatoo overlooking the Sydney harbour and the bridge. A great day, warm and sunny, and I especially enjoyed being back in the city I first visited in 2004.
A big disapointment was the view from Circular Quay. A few years ago you could sit down with a drink and enjoy the view of both the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Now some stupid city planners alowed the construction of a few apartment buildings, and the Opera House is no longer visible from Circular Quay. SHAME !!!!

Forster
The pelican in Forster. We stayed here three nights, on our way to Sydney. This is Not a statue, and the white stuff on the rock is NOT paint.
Forster brought another animal-experience: foxes. One morning, our neighbours showed us the leather sandals that they left outside the caravan during the night. The back strap was chewed away by foxes. I replied that we must have been lucky then, because our shoes were outside as well, and I did not notice anything. Until Pam asked where my other sandal was. We found it back under the caravan with the backstrap chewed as well.

South West Rocks...continued
Arriving last sunday appears to be just in time.
As I told before, it started to rain on sunday....well it did not stop. All the rain caused major floodings. Coffs Harbour is "drowned", and we just passed it on Sunday.
We had no major troubles ourselves, exept for the fact that in the middle of the night we had to get out in the heavy rain and roll-in our caravan awning, because of the very stong winds.
Wednesday we spent some time driving around and visiting the nearby historic "Trial Bay Gaol", (a former prison and workcamp) and the "Smoky Cape Lighthouse".
Beautiful view over the wild ocean from there !!
More pictures are in the photobook of April.
We will stay here till Sunday.
