That's quick....

Some things happen pretty quick in Australia. Not talking about my visa now (I still have no idea how long that is going to take), but talking about a plumbing permit.
A little explanation for the dutch readers:
To build a new house, you need a building permit from the council. A separate part of this is a permit for all the plumbing work: The septic system, the drain trench design, and the rain water tank with its pump and plumbing.
The application for this permit was lodged on 16 July; today I got the approval !!
Another hurdle taken.

The Kookaburra

Yes, they are still around.
There is quite an abundance of bird life around our new place, and the kookaburra is highly present.

The driveway is ready. Almost 6 m wide, enhough to make a two lane entrance to the block.
Nice job by the council workers.

Mandarines

A nice little tree full of sweet mandarines in our back yard.
Four jars of mandarine confiture already filled.

We moved

Temporary moved to a new address in Mount Perry.
"Clutha Cottage" is a cosy place to stay for the next three or four months. Thank God there is a more modern toilet inside the house.

It started.........

Finally some progress to report: Michael had his Caterpillar bulldozer available, and the other Michael was so kind to get the roller (dutch:wals).
So within 3 hours, our land was excavated to the disired height and levelled.
Besides that, the ugly tree at the front corner was pushed over too and removed.
Have a look at the new photobook of July 2010.
