As planned, we left Woolgoolga last sunday.I really liked the place and would not mind to have stayed a little longer. But our goal is to be in Sydney on the 9th of April, and on our way down there (only 600 km) there are a few places we would like to visit. Pam had made a reservation in the caravan park in South West Rocks, just 100 km south, and as soon as we got there I forgot about Woolgoolga. This is by far the nicest camping spot we had. We arrived in beautiful sunny weather, all the kids and families playing on the beach of "horseshoe Bay" (dutch: hoefijzer baai). A shower later on Sundayafternoon, and today looks to be an entire rainy day.I will put a few pictures in the photobook of March 2009, have a look.It is also a nice view from "Google Earth", you can pic the spot in the caravan Park where we are now.

Camera History
After that came the Pentax ME with a 1.2 50 mm standard lense and later the Vivitar zoom. Mostly used to produce slides.
I started my digital era with the Ixus II and when that one was stolen in Paris, I replaced it with a Panasonic Lumix. Right now I own a Sanyo Xacti. I bought it in Singapore last september. Its a 6 Mp video/photo camera wich is waterproof. I can take it with me in the ocean (max 2 m deep). I must admit that the Ixus and the Lumix were better photocamera's, but this one is more flexible and less vulnerable on the beach. I can wash the sand and the salt off.

Woolgoolga
A very good choice ! Nice little town with all the fascilities you need, and a caravanpark right at the beach side.
We will make this a more permanent stay for a month. A great opportunity to discover the surrounding area and beaches (we saw our first group of dolphins this morning, just off the shore here) and a good place to bridge the time till April when we want to be in Sydney for the Caravan and Camping show there.
Keep you informed!
