Maroochydore

Yesterday, tuesdaymorning, we left Ron and Trish, heading back north to Mt. Perry. We found out that there is no need to hurry, because we don't need to look after Bradleys dogs, so we decided to make a stop in Maroochydore for a few days. Pam has a very bad tooth, it needs to come out, so we will have that fixed here today. The caravanpark is lovely, right at the beachside. Until now our mobile internetconnection works perfect. We were able to make a skype-phonecall to Maartje and had a realy good connection. We will leave here on saturdaymorning

Tallebudgera

Last friday, early afternoon, we arrived in Tallebudgera at Ron and Trish'
home. We could set up our van next to the house and enjoy a beer on their
veranda. The house is ready for Christmas !
Saturdayevening we had a huge party (90 guests) and sunday a nice
relaxingday around the swimmingpool.
Monday we had an appointment with the Immigration Department, and YES !!!! I
got my visum.
We will head north again on wednesday towards Mount Perry.

Update from Tin Can Bay

Mondaymorning we left Mt. Perry, our caravan nicely set up, on our way to
the Goldcoast.
We stopped in Tin Can Bay, right at the waterfront, in beautiful weather. A
simple but clean caravanpark where lots of locals live permanently.
Some great caracters, like Jimmy (see the pic).
Wednesdaymorning we will travel too Caboolture where we will have our
caravanawning (dutch:luifel) fixed and from there we will head for Southport
on the Goldcoast to meet with Ron and Trish.

Update

Last thursday we finaly got our car and (cara)van. Quite an exiting experience for a dutchman who is only used to drive a Renault Twingo. This rig is a lot heavier, wider, longer, slower, but..........we managed and got to Bribie-Island to spend our first night in the new home.
On saturday we went back to the Coromal-dealer to have some minor things fixed and from there we headed north.
An overnight stay in Gympie on a restarea along the Bruce Highway, and next day we went to Hervey Bay. Beautiful beachside spot in the caravanpark, where we stayed till monday. On monday we travelled via Bundaberg (shopping) to Mt.Perry.
We will stay here several days to set up the caravan the way we want. The advantage: we have a broadband-internetconnection.
See the photobook for some pictures.

Het vervolg............

OK folks, the story continues..........
Finally got my retirement settled, sold my stuff, ended the rent of my appartment, said my goodbyes, and hopped together with Pam on the plane. Thursday 15 November we left the Netherlands and landed the next day in Brisbane, QLD, Australia.
Its now monday and we had a very succesful weekend: We are now the proud owners of a Toyota Landcruiser 4WD (6 cyl, turbo diesel, automatic) and a Coromal Capri Caravan.

Palm Beach, Goldcoast

A beautiful appartment, right on the beach, 5th floor. Waking up by the screaming noice of two lorrekeets, waiting for their breakfast. Having a coffee while the colourfull couple eat their bread and sugar, overlooking the rolling surf of the pacific ocean.

As i said before: life is f.cking good down-under. Sad that the end is very near.

We had a busy weekend visiting Pam's mum for her birthday and then her family came over to our place yesterday for lunch.
Today more visits, a little shopping tomorrow, and wednesday i will leave.

See you next weekend folks !
